All about Our Curriculum

If you would like any further information about our school curriculum, please e-mail or call 0208 965 7445 and ask for Ms Widdison or Mr Rentall

Our aim is to provide our children with an engaging, captivating and inspiring curriculum that equips them for the future

At Harlesden, we believe the teaching of the curriculum is best taught as discrete subject areas, whilst ensuring that knowledge is linked. Delivering the curriculum in this way best reflects the contexts, values and needs of our school community. By understanding the needs of our pupils and by developing our curriculum principles, we will equip our children with a breadth of knowledge and the skills needed in order for them to be lifelong learners. A subject specific route will enable our pupils to have the confidence to make links between subjects taught and also deepen knowledge. The curriculum will ensure pupils build knowledge and progress year upon year. This will empower our pupils to develop the knowledge and skills to become global citizens and be provided with access to the full National Curriculum and a range of cultural capital opportunities.
